Multi-metal components have to be designed with care: the surface finishing aspects like the coating layer in combination with the operational conditions such as moisture, humidity and temperature have a big impact on the corrosion resistance of the product. Design engineers have to carefully select the right materials to create products of the expected quality.

Thanks to a close collaboration with a major automotive supplier, Elsyca's software development team has released a design tool for galvanic corrosion risk assessment. This simulation tool helps design engineers from various industries (automotive, aeronautics, electronics...) with material selection for complex assemblies.
